Traveled from Gatlinburg to see the city and get some real food. Curate did not disappoint! We ordered croquetas, vieiras (scallops), and the rossejat (paella-like). Rating 4/5 stars because it was a relatively expensive dinner and we did not walk away full. This would be better with a larger party size and more tapas to share. With that said, service was incredible and sitting at the bar allowed us to watch the chefs cook.

Skip the Spanish experience and picked tapas a la carte instead. Better yet, ask your waiter to make recommendations. Much better bang for your buck and you get to try more dishes! Thoroughly enjoyed our meals though it was lacking in vegetables.

10/10 dining experience. I got reservations for my group a few months in advance as a friend told me they go fast. When we arrived at 7pm on a Thursday the restaurant was packed and there were no seats open. Our waiter took excellent care of us (had great recommendations and strategically spaced out the plates)! Some highlights: the ensalada de esparragos verdes (asparagus salad), patatas bravas, pimentos de piquillo rellenos (stuffed red peppers w goat cheese), and the isla florante (like a deconstructed lemon meringue pie)- all of these are a must order and I continue to think about how excellent these dishes are!! Curate was an amazing experience, if you are living in or visiting Asheville it is a must-go place!

This was AMAZING! We had been here once before a few years ago, but we're returning with a member of our party who was gluten free. Since this is mainly sharing based we were worried about limited options, however almost everything was GF. We ordered the curate sobrasada which was our fav! Not even sure what the "house recipe" was maybe salami or roasted tomato to be honest I don't care! It was amazing and you would be missing out if you came here and didn't get this. We also got the pulpo a la gallega and the salteado a la catalana which were both delicious. Then we ordered the gambas al ajillo which was fantastic and the sauce was so good I would drink it like soup. We got the cheesecake which was the bomb and some sorbet which is made in house and very refreshing. Lastly I ordered the seasonal soda which was fantastic!!! Overall we had good service and it wasn't too loud but a nice lively atmosphere. Make a reservation as far in advance as you can get it though as it does book up pretty fast.

One of the best Spanish restaurants I've been to outside of Spain. The food was all amazing, the flavors and quality was great. We had the Spanish experience dinner and it really gives you a nice sampling of the menu. The octopus was very tender, the mushrooms were delicious and I don't even really like mushrooms and the lamb was tender and flavorful. Perhaps one of the best parts of the meal was dessert. The cheesecake was incredible as was the chocolate dessert. The staff was great, everyone was involved in making sure we were taken care of. I highly recommend trying this place, but be sure to get a reservation as it's always full.

We celebrated our one year anniversary with this meal! We were initially overwhelmed with the menu but our waiter highlighted some of her favorite dishes for us which made it so easy! Even the simplest dishes were totally packed with flavor. The mushroom croquettes blew us away with their crunchy outside and creamy inside texture as well as flavor! The octopus was the most tender and flavorful octopus I've ever had. The lamb skewers were served with this delightfully herbaceous spread that was to die for. The pork with charred rosemary was succulent and mouth watering. Oh!! And the clams! How could I forget the clams. They were cooked beautifully and drenched in the most wonderful broth. Each dish was brought out in stages which made for a fun dining experience. We left feeling full but not overly stuffed and we definitely didn't leave any leftovers. I would highly recommend Curate to anyone traveling to Asheville.

I've had the pleasure of dining at Curate twice now while visiting family and friends in Asheville. First the ambiance for the experience you will have is completely casual which is a contrast to the incredible flavor palette you will experience. On this occasion we had a large party for a birthday celebration. Lindsey was phenomenal. The menu is extensive though not complicated however navigating the menu with a guide like Lindsey is recommended. The food is incredible and mirrors experiences I've had in Spain. We had a lot, pan con tomate, iberico ham, mushrooms in sherry sauce (setas), gambas, pulpo, the iberico steak, lamb skewers, and squid ink pasta and more. All incredible. Highly recommended for a date viewing the plancha from bar seating or a dinner with friends for any occasion. Love this place.

This is a Spanish cuisine surprise in the Smokey Mountains! Curate offers surprisingly delicious tapas options with superb service and outstanding cocktails and sangrias. We were a party of four very picky customers who ordered several items and sangrias, and EVERYTHING was delicious! The vibe is wonderful with a diverse feel and clean and sophisticated common areas. It's centrally located in downtown Asheville with limited affordable street parking nearby. However, the are parking garages nearby at $5/half an hour and $25 flat fee on weekends. Recommendation: You should make a reservation ahead of time! Overall, 100% recommended!
